PROJECT X GRAPHITE TOUR ISSUE WOOD SHAFT - 7.0 (6A4)
Brand New Project X Tour Issue Graphite Driver Shaft. One of the Hottest shafts on the PGA Tour in 2010.
Project X Graphite Tour Issue, The Project X Tour Issue wood and driver shafts are available in the same specs that are played on tour each week. The driver shaft’s firm tip design yields a penetrating launch and low spin while its low torque and reinforced cross section provide the most stable shaft performance on tour. Project X Tour Issue shafts are only available through a limited number of OEM custom programs and through True Temper’s Performance Fitting Centers. The Project X Graphite Shaft is used by a number of PGA Tour players and has been rumored to either use or have tried the shaft including Bo Van Pelt, Camilo Vegas, David Toms and Jason Gore. The Project X Graphite Wood Shaft is engineered using the Zonal Design Theory or ZDT.
This is a True Temper proprietary technology which divides the shaft into three distinct zones. The Butt, Mid and tip sections make up the three zones, with each optimized for performance using a design technology specific to the zone.
The Butt Section is made up of sectional stability minimizing energy from a Hex-Axial Reinforcement Technology. This technology ultimately is responsible for minimizing energy loss from "ovalization." Mid Section is designed for even loading and unloading for maximum energy transfer. The Tip Section is Elongated for a firmer tip which minimizes Droop and Lag and reduces spin.
The new Project X driver shaft has a similar bend profile to Project X iron shafts. The driver shaft’s firm tip design yields a penetrating launch and low spin while its low torque and reinforced cross section provide the most stable shaft performance on tour.
